Battery

Two batteries, so the errands never run out first.

Kago carries two 52V 20Ah packs. Jasion rates it for up to 120 miles at the lowest assist, which covers a week of grocery runs and school drop-offs around North Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens for a lot of riders. Plan on less with a full rack and the throttle. Both packs come out, so you can charge them indoors.

Jasion Kago: Motor
Motor

Enough pull to start a loaded bike from a stop.

A 1200W peak brushless hub motor with 80 Nm of torque. With groceries on the rack, it still gets moving smartly when the light changes on Northlake Blvd and climbs the Intracoastal bridges without a fight. Pedal with 5 assist levels, or just twist the throttle.

80 Nmtorque, 1200W peak
Jasion Kago: Suspension
Suspension

A suspension fork that keeps the load calm.

The front suspension fork takes the sting out of cracked sidewalks, driveway lips and shell-rock paths, and the 20 x 3 inch fat tires add grip and cushion. Small wheels keep the cargo low, so a full rack feels steady instead of tippy. Tony sets the fork up when he builds it.

Brakes

Hydraulic brakes for a bike that carries weight.

2-piston hydraulic disc brakes give a strong, steady bite, even in a summer downpour with a full basket. The motor cuts out the moment you pull a lever, so it never pushes against you while you stop.

Where it shines

Built for the trips you would normally take the car on.

Jasion Kago: Grocery runs

Grocery runs

Load the rack and a front basket at the store and ride home. Jasion rates Kago for 350 lb of rider and cargo, so a full week of groceries is no problem.

Jasion Kago: School drop-off

School drop-off

Skip the car line. Ask Tony which child seats fit the Kago rack, and remember Florida requires riders and passengers under 16 to wear a helmet.

Jasion Kago: Park days with the dog

Park days with the dog

Ride to the park, walk the dog, ride home. Low step-over frame and small wheels make it easy to hop on and off all day.

Jasion Kago: Beach weekends

Beach weekends

Strap a cooler and chairs to the rack and head for Juno Beach or Jupiter. The fat tires handle sandy beach-access paths, and the lights help on the ride home.

About this bike

Jasion Kago

The Kago is Jasion's cargo e-bike, built for the short car trips: groceries, school drop-off, the post office, a day at the beach. Two 52V 20Ah batteries give it the range, a long rear rack and a 350 lb payload give it the room, and small 20 x 3 inch fat tires keep the load low and steady. At 94 lb it is lighter than our moped-style RetroVolt Max, so it is easier to wheel into a garage or onto a bike rack. Every one we sell is built in the shop by Tony, tuned, and safety-checked before it goes home.

Reserve online with no payment now and we will call to confirm the color, timing and pickup. We are not selling e-bikes for online checkout.

Kago vs RetroVolt Max

Two dual-battery Jasions. Here is the difference.

Both carry two 52V 20Ah batteries. The Kago is built to haul and is lighter; the RetroVolt Max is the more powerful moped-style ride with room for a passenger. Pick the Kago for errands and cargo, the Max for speed and riding two-up.

Straight answers

Common questions.

How much is the Jasion Kago at Lake Park Bicycles?

$1,199 out the door: assembled, tuned and safety-checked by Tony, with a phone holder and mirrors included. Reserve online with no payment and Tony will call you.

Is the Kago in stock?

Yes. We have the Kago in Pearl White and Obsidian Black. Call 561-842-0303 to check your color before you come in, or reserve online and we will hold it for you.

What is the difference between the Kago and the RetroVolt Max?

Both carry two 52V 20Ah batteries. The Kago is the hauler: a long rear rack, a 350 lb payload, 20 x 3 inch tires and a lighter 94 lb frame. The RetroVolt Max is the moped-style bike: more power (2000W peak), full suspension, 20 x 4 inch tires and a separate passenger seat. See the comparison table on this page.

Can I see the Kago near Palm Beach Gardens or Jupiter?

Yes. We are at 910 Northlake Blvd in North Palm Beach, a few minutes from Palm Beach Gardens and an easy drive from Jupiter and Juno Beach. Call 561-842-0303 before you come so we can have the color you want ready.

Do you service the Kago after I buy it?

Yes. We fully service every e-bike brand we sell, right here in the shop. E-bike repairs are done in the shop only, not through our pickup and delivery service.

How fast does each assist level go on the Kago?

Jasion lists about 10 mph at level 1, 15 at level 2, 20 at level 3, 25 at level 4 and 28 at level 5. With a loaded rack on the shared paths around North Palm Beach and Juno Beach, the lower levels are plenty, and they stretch your range too.

How much can the Kago carry?

Jasion rates the Kago for a 350 lb payload, which is the rider plus everything on the bike. Keep heavy items low and centered on the rack, and Tony can help you pick baskets or bags that fit.

Can I charge the batteries inside instead of bringing the bike in?

Yes. Both 52V packs are quick-release, so you can lock the bike in the garage or downstairs and carry just the batteries in to charge. That helps in condos and apartments around West Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens where hauling a 94 lb bike upstairs is no fun.
